Setting Up Children and Baby’s Bedrooms

Children and baby’s bedrooms are usually fun to set up and decorate. While the rest of the home have to be in harmony, children’s room are independent and charming on their own.

There are many ways to decorate children’s rooms. For a baby’s room, the conventional practice is to use pictures by Beatrix Potter as a mural or frieze to the wall. Another creative way is to paint the ceiling in stars and moons.

As much as you want to make the room bright and exciting, it is also important to make it a calm and relaxing atmosphere for both the child and the lactating mother.

For children’s room, using their current favourite cartoon character as the theme of the room will be perfect. Their bed sheets, duvets, curtains, bedside lamps, etc can reflect such characters. For example, Bob the Builder or Disney characters such as Winnie the Pooh are often used for this purpose.

Teenagers require a little more sophistication because they believe they are adults. You can choose more mature and cool colours like fuchsia, shades of green and blue for their bedspreads, lamps, curtains and other accessories and for the walls too.

Accessories like bedspreads, curtains and lamps can also be easily changed to suit the preferences of the children at any age or as they grow older.
